Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Louis Lafosse EI ("we", "us"), the company that runs Niche Finder. They apply as soon as you create an account or use the site. If you don't accept them, please don't use Niche Finder.

Who we are

Niche Finder is run by Louis Lafosse EI, an individual entrepreneur (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France. You can reach us at [email protected]. Our full details are in the legal notice.

The service

Niche Finder helps YouTube creators find a niche that works. It offers:

  • a map of YouTube channels grouped by shared audience, built from publicly available YouTube data;
  • scores for niches, and ideas: title formats that win with an audience on some subjects but that nobody makes on a related subject;
  • AI analyses paid in credits: niche verdicts, idea verdicts and channel strategies;
  • free tools: channel diagnosis, most replayed moments, title checks, audience maps, and insights for a YouTube channel you connect. To stop abuse, we may slow down or refuse an account that starts them far more often than a person would.

Your account

  • You can sign up with an email address and a password, or with Google.
  • You must be at least 16. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy credits.
  • Use an email address you can read. We use it to confirm your account and to reset your password.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else used it, write to us right away.

Credits and payment

AI analyses are paid with credits. One credit is worth $0.10. You can buy any number of credits from 100, and bigger purchases come with bonus credits.

  • What a run costs. Each AI analysis has a fixed price in credits, shown before you start it. When a paid run starts, we set its price aside from your balance, and we keep it once the run finishes.
  • Failed runs are free. If a run fails or is canceled, every credit it held goes back to your balance.
  • Bonus credits. Buying 500 credits or more adds bonus credits: 5% from 500, 10% from 1,000 credits. The bonus is added with the purchase, works like the credits you buy and belongs to that purchase: if the purchase is refunded, its bonus is removed too.
  • Free credits. New accounts get 20 free credits.
  • No expiry. Credits don't expire. They have no cash value, can't be moved to another account and can only be used on Niche Finder.

Payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem processes the payment, charges sales tax or VAT where it applies and issues your invoice. Creem's own terms also apply to the payment. We never see your card number.

The price of each analysis is listed on the pricing page. We may change prices or bonus levels, for example when AI costs change. A change applies only to purchases and runs made after we publish it. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

Free tools

Channel diagnoses (with a channel's most replayed moments, and its private analytics when you connected it), title checks and audience maps are free, with no daily allowance. We may slow down an account that starts them far more often than a person would, and we may change this.

Connecting a YouTube channel

You can connect a YouTube channel you own or manage by signing in with Google and granting read-only access to the channel and its analytics. We use that access only to show you insights about your own channel. You can disconnect the channel in the app, or revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The Privacy Policy explains what we read and how long we keep it.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • open several accounts to get more free credits or more free runs;
  • try to get around credit holds, daily limits or rate limits;
  • copy, scrape or resell our data, scores or analyses in bulk, or use them to build a competing product;
  • attack, overload or probe the service, or access it with bots or scripts;
  • use Niche Finder to break the law or YouTube's rules.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. If we close an account for any other reason, we refund the purchased credits it has not used.

AI analyses are estimates

Analyses are written by AI models, currently Anthropic's Claude, from our data. They are estimates, not a promise of views, subscribers or revenue. Results on YouTube depend on many things we can't see or control, and AI can be wrong. Check what matters before you rely on it.

Nothing on Niche Finder is legal, tax or financial advice.

Your content and ours

You keep the rights to what you submit, such as channel and video links, and you let us use it to run what you ask for.

You may use the results of your analyses for your own channels and projects, and share them. You may not resell them, or our data, as a product or a dataset.

The site, its software, the map and the scores belong to Louis Lafosse EI. Titles, thumbnails and other YouTube content shown in the app belong to their owners.

YouTube and Google

Niche Finder uses YouTube API Services. By using Niche Finder, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Niche Finder is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Niche Finder running, but it can be unavailable at times, for maintenance or because one of our providers is down. We may change, add or remove features. If we close Niche Finder for good, we will tell you at least 30 days before and refund the purchased credits you have not used.

Liability

We provide Niche Finder as it is. As far as the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost revenue, lost views or missed opportunities, or for decisions you make based on an analysis;
  • our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for credits in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for fraud or gross negligence, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account. It is deleted right away, with your results and your remaining credits. If you want a refund for an unused purchase, ask for it before you delete your account.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We post the new version here with a new date, and for important changes we email you before they take effect. If you keep using Niche Finder after that, the new terms apply. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of France, and the courts of France handle disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live, and you can also go to your local courts. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems are solved by email.
